DARYL HALL, MissionWorx President

Founded in 2011 by Daryl Hall and Jeff Smith, MissionWorx is a small independent film company with the goal of making films that honor God and change lives. Among the films produced by MissionWorx is the award winning comedy FAT BOYS, the recently completed THE LION and the soon to be released WHOM SHALL I SEND?.

MissionWorx has begun pre-production on a project called "The Journey to Nairobi" a film about the importance of mentoring. The project is targeted for January 2020 which happens to be Mentoring Awareness Month. Two key projects that are currently on-hold waiting for investors and/or financial supporters are ”Running with Jack and “Saving Isabella”.

MissionWorx has benefited from a small army of dedicated followers of Christ with talent and skills that have made up our MissionWorx family of filmmakers. To all these volunteers we say thank you!

Daryl has spent over twenty-five years in ministry serving as a student pastor and in missions leadership. He has also led in the development of two mentoring networks- mostly to at-risk teens. In 2011, Daryl stepped out of church based ministry to focus on making independent Christian films and work in full-time missions. He has garnered seven awards for writing screenplays; four for Fat Boys and three for The Lion.

Daryl attended East Tennessee State University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and is an ordained Baptist minister. He is currently on staff with San Antonio Youth for Christ as the Juvenile Justice Ministry Director, serves on the Board of Directors of Jesus Centered Ministries and as an advisor with Brick by Brick Ministries International. Daryl is on occasion available for speaking engagements. He and his wife, Laura, currently live in San Antonio, TX.
